Our Favourite pictures from the Eid Al-Fitr celebration in Nigeria.

Our Muslim brothers and sisters have been basking in all gloriousness, taking to social media platforms to share pictures with family and friends as they mark the end of Holy Month of Ramadan.

Eid Al-Fitr is traditionally celebrated with mosque prayers, family feasts and shopping for new clothes, gifts and sweet treats. It is one of the most important events in the Muslim calendar.

This year’s celebration is quite different from the usual ones; the unfortunate COVID-19 outbreak has overshadowed any form of festivities due to lockdown restrictions and social distancing.

However, our Muslim brothers and sisters didn’t let the virus stop them, social media saw the height of their glamour through many alluring holiday shots. as they spent the day with their immediate family and friends.

Arewa Twitter was a particular highlight of the day’s display. A particular section of Twitter used to describe Northern Nigerian Muslims. Not only did they share heartwarming and lovely images, but some also gave us sneak peeks of their garages, packed with some of the world’s most expensive and luxurious vehicles. It validates the sentiment that ‘Northern money remains unmatched’.

Here is Morebranches’ pick of best photos of Eid al-Fitr celebrations around Nigeria.
