5 Times Nigerian Senator Dino Melaye Went Viral For His Doltishness

The Nigerian government has always played out like a long comic series aired on Comedy Central, the direction of politics and the politicians themselves are always on some major bullshit. Governance of Nigeria is conducted with little or no thought for the repercussions of the acts being carried out by the people in power, Nigeria is basically a jungle being run by a bunch of pointless corrupt men-children without a single trace of how to properly rule in the modern world.

Day after day theatrics by Senators, Ministers, Governors all meant to lead by example is turned into stupid displays of wealth gathered through stealing and outrageous allowances, and show of power. The politicians act with no accord or respect for the office they hold, being simply just a form of entertainment for the populace they govern.

In the midst of all the chair tossing, name calling, mace stealing in the Nigerian senate-house, there’s a senator that stands out for his outrageousness, blatant display of wealth, constant song composition, and social media prowess, Senator Dino Melaye is the man of the moment with an endless timeline of misplaced priorities. For the humorous pleasure of us all, and those that don’t know the famous Dino we feature five times he’s topped his own doltishness.

Dino Melaye’s First Hit Song ‘Aje kun iya ni’oje’

This is the first of many songs released by Dino Melaye, his first viral song came after Ibrahim Garba, the vice-chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University reaffirmed Dino Melaye was a graduate of the school, Dino appeared before the Senate committee on ethics and privileges over his certificate legitimacy. He released a video of him singing in Yoruba language: Aje kun iya ni’oje, aje kun iya ni’oje, eni ti o t’eni no, t’on de na de ni,  aje kun iya ni’oje, which translates as “you will be beaten mercilessly if you fight someone who is stronger than you” to taunt his opponents.

He later went on to perform the song with a live band months later :

Another of his viral songs is ‘Bye bye to jati jati‘ which he released when he defected from APC political party to PDP

Dino & His Car Collection

When you have a lot of stolen money there’s nothing you can’t afford, squandering millions on supercars you can’t drive in most parts of the country won’t be a problem when your other senator friends are doing the same. Dino Melaye is a major car collector and his very proud of he’s collection which he regularly flaunts through his social media, so proud he called out a Twitter user for dragging him without including his Ferrari.

Dino Melaye Threatens To Kill Himself To Avoid Being Arrested

In April Dino Melaye was allegedly wanted for arms running charges and would be paraded alongside other criminals who mentioned him, he threatened to kill himself to avoid arrest. “You want Bello to kill me there? I will kill myself” he repeatedly shouted.

He followed that up by going to his court hearing on a Stretcher

Senator Dino Melaye, appeared before a Magistrate’s Court in Lokoja, Kogi state on a stretcher to face criminal charges on Thursday, May 3, 2018. The lawmaker’s arraignment came just a day after he appeared before an Abuja Magistrate Court sitting at Wuse Zone 2 on a stretcher to answer charges brought against him by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

We Can’t End This Without Kach’s hit song ‘Dino’ based on the Senator

It’s only right a song based on flexing is made off Dino Melaye’s lifestyle and Kach was the man for the job.
