Iran will pay $80 million to anyone that gets Trump’s head.

A few minutes after the widely televised funeral service of General Qasem Soleimani, Iran’s preeminent military commander who was killed on Friday in a US drone strike on his convoy at Baghdad airport, official state broadcasters have reported that an $80million bounty has been placed on Donald Trump’s head.

“Iran has 80 million inhabitants. Based on the Iranian population, we want to raise $80million (£61million) which is a reward for those who get close to the head of President Trump,” it was announced, according to en24.

Earlier today Iranian MP Abolfazl Aboutorabi threatened to attack the heart of American politics. At a session of parliament in Tehran this afternoon President Trump was called a “terrorist in a suit” after he threatened to hit 52 Iranian sites hard if Tehran attacks Americans or U.S. assets; but Iran’s army chief believes the US lacked the “courage” to initiate a conflict.

Meanwhile, the White House has sent a formal notification to Congress under the War Powers Act of the airstrike that killed Soleimani at Baghdad airport on Friday, according to a senior official. The notification was classified and it was not known if a public version would be made available, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the report “suggests Congress and the American people are being left in the dark about our national security.”
