Track Of The Day: L-Easy’s Debut – The Maturation Is A Fusion of Hip-Hop, RnB, and Afro Beats.

/

Lucky Obibi Oghnechawuko known by his stage name L-Easy grew up on RnB & Hip-Hop such as Jay-Z, Pharell. He remembers listening to the song ‘Ambition by Jay Z Feat Pharell’ one of his favorite songs that inspired him to try and rap with his first release 6 years ago, beginning his on-going journey into music.

When people listen to these records, they would not hear countries or religion or race but the universal language, so when they vibe to the songs from America to Jamaica and the motherland, they’ll vibe together with one voice, if that is achieved then his dream would have come true.

L-Easy hopes with the project.

L-Easy has taken all his musical influences, sacrificing the artist role and taking on more of an executive producer role (similar to an artist like DJ Khaled) to create his debut project – The Maturation. The project is a wonderful musical showcase of range, sonic fusion, and putting together different sonic soundscapes to create a diversified body of work. It beautifully blends an array of artists with different sounds all adding a layer of musical genius to each track.

He’s brought on an array of amazing/potent artist who all hail from his home town Port Harcourt, that has seen countless stars born from the region. Each bringing a different element to the project. Each track switching from multiple genres and sometimes fusing all in one, is a refreshing change of pace.
