M.I seems to be on a mission to own this year and own his top spot as king of rap. The Nigerian rap mogul early in the year dropped a star-studded project (playlist), Rendezvous which felt like a body of work dedicated to the new direction the music landscape in Nigeria is currently gravitating to.
After the release of his self-reflective album Yxng Dxnzl, he’s back to his groovy ways by releasing the video for one of the stand-out singles off the Rendezvous project, “Lekki” featuring Odunsi The Engine, Ajebutter 22 and Falz.
Lekki visuals recreate a party scene, following a group of women in different stages of their turn up in Lagos Night-life and feature cameo appearances from the likes of Nedu, Blaqbonez, and Zoro.
