26-year-old American rapper Mac Miller is reported dead from overdose according to a report by TMZ.
The rapper has been dealing with substance abuse in the past few weeks, Miller recently wrecked his G-Wagon and was subsequently arrested for a DUI after he fled the scene, eventually blowing two times the legal limit when police found him at his home. After being arrested, Miller posted a $15,000 bail and was released early in the morning of May 17. His family has not yet commented on his death, nor have police confirmed that an overdose was the cause of his death.
Several news agencies have attempted to contact Miller’s inner-circle to no avail. Miller was set to embark on a cross-country tour in support of Swimming in late October.
“A lot of times in my life I’ve put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived. And it creates pressure.“, Vulture published about Mac Miller on Thursday.
It’s crazy to lose such a fragile soul that blessed us with incredible music, RIP MAC. Our prayers and condolences go out to Miller’s family and loved ones.
