5 things you should know about BBK’s 2019 Homecoming.

Homecoming is arguably one of the biggest cultural exchange platforms promoting African creativity, music, fashion and sport to the world. The event is a mix of the hottest international artistes, Nigeria’s very own stars, global giants and local startups connecting mostly with the country’s young, quintessential demographic. This year’s live concert is scheduled to hold on Easter Sunday, April 21 at Harbour Point, Victoria island and we expect the official show lineup to be announced in a couple of days. But before then, these are teasers we think will excite you at this year’s edition.

  • For this year, Motherlan, Mowalola, Stüssy, Patta, Places+Faces, No Vacancy Inn, TTYA, Vivendii, Waffles N Cream, and more will be showcasing their creative pieces during the Homecoming weekend (April 19-21).
  • NATIVE will be hosting HOMECOMING CUP; a 5-aside football tournament.
  • NIKE is coming back too! They’ll will co-host a design workshop where registered guests will have the opportunity to customise Nike football jerseys at the Pop Up
  • Wafflesncream and the Homecoming team are also working on an open skate session at a custom space in Lagos.
  • HOMECOMING’s major focus for 2019: creative development and knowledge sharing across 3-days of workshops, panels, interactions and more. You can get your tickets here.
