There have been more than 115,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the world, over 4,000 deaths due to the virus, and around 65,000 people infected have recovered.
Africa has been affected by the virus on a much smaller scale than the continents of Europe, North America and Asia, with just 100 reported across the continent, according to BBC Africa.
On Tuesday, a total of two deaths have occurred on the continent, one in Egypt and another in Morocco.

- Cameroon — 2
- Democratic Republic of Congo –1
- Egypt — 59 (includes 1 death)
- Morocco — 3 (includes 1 death)
- Nigeria — 2
- Senegal — 4
- South Africa — 13
- Tunisia — 5
South Africa on Wednesday released a statement saying it had recorded six new cases of the virus, bringing the total number to 13, according to BBC Africa.
