Burna Boy Uses His Latest Music Video for ‘Monsters You Made’ to make a Statement

African Giant aka Burna Boy recently dropped one of the biggest and best albums this summer and arguably of the year. Twice As Tall, the album aimed to give bring the grammy home for Burna with the help of some heavy hitters, took the world by storm, debuting at number 1 on the Billboard World chart. Diddy executive produced the entire album — you can hear him on the album’s first track “Level Up” — and Chris Martin of Coldplay appears on the song “Monsters You Made.” Today, that song’s video dropped.

Since the drop of the album, Burna hasn’t stopped with the rollout from merchandising, to interviews and recently music videos. Today, one of the project’s most biggest songs “Monsters You Made” which features Chris Martin of Coldplay dropped.

The politically charged music video focuses on the systematic racism, inequality, and corrupt leaders – a theme discussed through the album – with the video eventually climaxing in trauma and violence. Burna is the leader of a battalion of Black soldiers who beat each other bloody, rob trucks, and watch a projected Chris Martin.
