After 22 years of developing Viacom brands, Alex Okosi has called it quits as he takes on a new role as Youtube’s Managing Director of Emerging Markets for in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He’ll be responsible for running YouTube’s business and partnership teams across emerging markets in EMEA including Russia, the Middle East, North and Sub Saharan Africa.

Alex Okosi was a strong driving force for Viacom, together the launched BET, Comedy Central, MTV, MTV Base, MTV Music, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and NickToons in Africa, as well as BET International to the African market, growing these brands into core channels for the African audience.
He will resume his new position at Youtube from the London office in April 2020, reporting directly to the Head of YouTube EMEA, Cécile Frot-Coutaz.
