The artist is enthralled in his expression of strong emotions, matching the blunt rawness of his lyrics. The simplicity of his singsong couplets is sufficient enough to wash away the groaning melodrama of a line like ‘You could do better girl, I know you better’, that it doesn’t take so long to stick in your skull.
The accompanying visuals directed by Sunnyboy Productions is a skittish version of the song’s narrative, as the artist is seen pulling up at spots to poke the love birds.
