Today, on the one-year anniversary of his passing, we honor the life and legacy of Ghanaian-Nigerian artist boistory with the release of his deeply personal single, “Myself.”
A haunting and introspective piece, “Myself” sees boistory confronting the unsettling feeling of being out of sync with himself and the world around him. In lyrics like “Something’s messing with me, why I no dey feel like myself?” and “All these streets they look the same but I’m too used to being lost,” he gives voice to emotional detachment, identity struggles, and the quiet weight of internal disarray.
Produced during a period of personal reflection, “Myself” is both vulnerable and precise — a track that mirrors the duality of boistory’s artistry: thoughtful and raw, universal and uniquely his own.
This release also marks the beginning of the rollout for boistory’s posthumous EP, “123…Arcade,” a collection of songs curated by his close collaborators and loved ones to celebrate his voice.
“Myself” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
As we remember boistory today, we hope this song offers fans and loved ones a moment of reflection, connection, and peace — a reminder of the brilliant light he was and the music he left behind.
