Burna Boy releases inspiring video for his first solo single of the year ‘Dangote’

Burna Boy has been having an amazing two years since he released his the global breaking, hit-filled album ‘Outside’ which featured his monster ‘Ye’ that was dubbed the unofficial anthem of his home country Nigeria.

It’s 2019 and Burna Boy is reluctant to give up his throne as one of Africa’s biggest stars, he makes this clear yet again with his new single ‘Dangote’ which was featured on last week’s top seven songs to hear. The track was produced by Kel P, and named after Nigerian business magnate and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote. 

An inspiring Clarence Peters-directed music video has been released for the new video. The new visials has Burna Boy singing his lyrics to the daily social, economic, mental and emotional struggles Nigerians face.

The video starts with a quote that reads: “The richest man in Africa still goes to work every morning. Employment and job creation should be priority for any government. The National Bureau of Statistics puts the estimated number of unemployed Nigerians at 23.1%”

Burna will be kicking off his African Giant Tour across North America this April in Boston, One of those dates will see him representing Nigeria at the 2019 Coachella Music Festival along with Mr Eazi, OkayAfrica reports.
