Davido’s ‘Fall’ Is The Longest-Charting Nigerian Song In Billboard History

Davido known for his string of chart-topping hits has been breaking a lot of records outside Africa as Afropop sounds becoming more dominant worldwide.

Davido’s “Fall” made history as the first-ever African music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube a few months ago, making it the most watched Nigerian music video on YouTube. This week it officially became the longest-charting Nigerian single in the history of the Billboard charts — a platform which tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in the United States and elsewhere.  It’s also on the top 100 most Shazamed songs.
