ICYMI: Best New Music Videos Featuring Rexxie, Tekno, Adekunle Gold & More

Ric Hassani –  Thunder fire You

Off his sophomore album, The Prince I Became, which dropped over the weekend, the visuals to Thunder Fire You shot by Adasa Cookey follows the story of unrequited unappreciated love. The video comes fresh off NBC ban of the song from receiving radio and TV airplay.

P.S someone should ask NBC what exactly is wrong with this song and why it’s banned? Plus shoutout to them for making it bigger!

Rexxie Feat. Mobahd – Kpk (Ko Por Ke)

Rising to fame by being the producer behind the Zanku wave that took over Nigeria in 2019, Rexxie became amongst the top producers in Nigeria within a short  time. For the video of their smash hit, Rexxie and Marlian Music act Mohbad, star in a colorful night life of car racing on the streets of Lagos and street dancing.

Rexxie is expected to drop his debut album; A True Champion, later this year, with KPK being the lead single off it.

Adekunle Gold Feat. Patoranking – Pretty Girl

Directed by Olu The Wave, the video to Pretty Girl blends the aesthetic visuals that have come to be associated with afropop Adekunle Gold and Patornking’s rasta world as seamlessly as the song itself.

Kizz Daniel – Flexx

Vintage Kizz Daniel is probably one of our favourite Kizz Daniel characters, from the 2015 Good Time to his recent bop Flexx. The black and white visuals show Kizz Daniel giving an electric band performance in a London bar that gives off vibes from the 80s with the men wearing modern suits that feel out of place.

Tekno – Designer

Having one of Nollywood Jim Iyke sweetest boys chase your girl with all his money and looks, probably means the end of your relationship, only if you’re Tekno. The video to Designer is the sixth single off Tekno’s Old Romance album which dropped late last year.

GoodGirl LA – Bando

Bando tells of GoodGirl LA’s desire to have fun and be free. Her first single of the year comes after her feature on Vector’s Early Momo.

Skillz8Figure Feat. Psycho YP – Like Dat

For the follow up single before his debut album After Dark drops, one of Ghana’s rising acts to look out for; Skillz8Figure features Nigerian rapper Psycho YP on the mid-tempo Like Dat. Produced  by MikeMillzOnEm who uses clear guitar strings and bouncy drums, to create an afro-fusion sound.
