Grammy Winning Singer, Ms. Lauryn Hill signed on to be the face of Woolrich’s re-branded series, American Soul Since 1830. it’s the first time she will be appearing in a fashion campaign in her three-decade career, starring in Woolrich’s FW18 campaign, a limited edition of apparel Lauryn Hill customized to celebrate 20 years since she dropped her classic one-time masterpiece ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’.
The collection includes Silverton Coats featuring the album artwork from her critically acclaimed record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, arctic parka features jeweling and text-prints on the shoulder pads and sleeves. Elsewhere the singer wears Woolrich’s trademark checks, workwear, denim, and outerwear pieces, revamped for Fall, Highsnobiety Reports.
The shoot for the collection took place in the Harlem theatre where Hill shot the video for “Doo Wop (That Thing)” 20 years ago in 1998.
