In a reversal of its previous stance, the South African broadcasting service DStv has declared that its SuperSport channels will indeed broadcast the upcoming African Cup of Nations. This decision comes after an initial announcement indicating the failure to secure broadcasting rights for the tournament.
On Wednesday, the company conveyed in a statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter): “No gree for anybody! Watch all 52 matches of the #afcon2023 on @supersports.”

Just a week ago, DStv had announced its intention not to air matches from the 34th AFCON, set to commence on Saturday, citing the inability to secure broadcasting rights. This announcement garnered disapproval from football enthusiasts, particularly those in Sub-Saharan Africa.
However, with less than 72 hours remaining until the opening match, DStv seems to have successfully negotiated a last-minute deal, enabling the airing of all 52 matches of the tournament.
DStv now stands alongside StarTimes, NTA, AfroSport, and other networks committed to broadcasting matches from this prominent football event in Africa.
It was great seeing how much work you put into it. The picture is nice, and your writing style is stylish, but you seem to be worrying that you should be presenting the next article. I’ll almost certainly be back to read more of your work if you take care of this hike.
