Nigerian athlete Blessing Okagbare has received a certificate that recognizes her as the only athlete to have attended the Athletics Diamond Meetings 67 times by Guinness Book of World Records.
The 32-year-old meteoric athlete shared on her social media Wednesday morning. “A dream made a reality through God’s grace and determination. Look what finally came in the mail…Thanks to the Guinness book of world records. I am indeed honored, proud and grateful.”
This was achieved between 3 July 2010 and 31 August 2018 According to the text of the certificate.
Blessing Okagbare is an Olympic and World Championships medalist in the long jump and a world medalist in the 200 meters. She also holds the Women’s 100 meters Commonwealth Games record for the fastest time at 10.85 seconds. Okagbare is seeking a fourth Olympic Games participation with the Nigerian team in Tokyo in July.
