Nigeria’s ‘Best TV station of the year’ just doctored a video cut from its breakfast show ‘Sunrise Daily’

Channels Television, Nigeria’s most popular and trusted news broadcaster has recently been accused of editing a video cut from it’s breakfast show ‘Sunrise daily’ which is viewed by millions of people in and out of Nigeria. Earlier today, Femi Adesina made a statement in an interview that ‘all over the world casualties of soldiers aren’t disclosed.’ This statement was however been proven faux as there are records of casualties of soldiers from UK, US, France and several countries which are accessible online and to citizens.

Mr Adesina, Seun Okin (the host) and Channels TV have since then come under heavy attacks and criticisms from Nigerians across the cyberspace. However, a journalist with CBC News based in Lagos, Anna Cunningham this morning discovered that channelstv had edited the said interview on their YouTube page and cut out the part where Femi Adesina made the controversial statement. Really trashy and disappointing behavior for the fourth estate or whatever it’s called. The show’s host and producer has tweeted a new link of the real video just after the edited version was taken off the web.

Why did channels TV cut out the part where Femi made the figure statement?
Whose interest was channels TV serving to have edited the video?
Are channels TV doing the bidding of the All Progressive Congress, the President’s Party?

Here is the editted video on channels YouTube
