Riverays Release Sensational Two-Track EP

Attempting to quench the thirst to put out one last release before the end of 2021, emerging Nigerian alternative Hip-Hop duo, River Rays, drop a two-track EP along with their corresponding instrumentals.

The Nigerian alternative hip-hop duo, Riverays, relish in the challenge of creating unorthodox melodies and rapping with uncommon cadences over experimental, self-produced beats as they wait for their talent to meet opportunity.
Judah Chima (“Iver Rivers”) and Joseph Chikak (“Ray the Boffin”) were both born and raised in Nigeria but migrated to Ukraine for better education. When each discovered that the other could sing, rap, write, and produce, they formed the group “Riverays” in 2018 and began creating music.

A signature Riverays’ record consists of a Ray-or-Iver produced instrumental, rap verses performed by Iver’s deeper-toned or Ray’s softer voice, and melodies are sung by Iver’s surprisingly higher vocal register or Ray’s light singing voice that complements his rapping- style.

The duo has released a new two-track EP called, ”A Riverays Two-Pack” presents two choices, comparable to if a popular beer brand decided to drop a special edition seasonal two-pack during the holidays: an alternative yet pop-facing “Hot Tub”-flavored track and a more mellowed and traditional hip-hop “Train Wreck”. Each record plays its part to sell the versatility of the Nigerian duo’s rap style, melody composing, songwriting, and production.
