Sony Music Publishing Appoints Godwin Tom as MD


Godwin Tom has been named the company’s managing director. This announcement was made when the company opened a new office in Lagos, Nigeria, as part of its expansion into Africa.

Godwin served as the CEO of the talent agency iManage Africa, where he collaborated with a number of well-known artists, including Wizkid, Davido, Waje, MI, Wande Coal, and many more.

Sony Music Publishing is confident in Godwin Tom’s comprehensive knowledge of the African music market which is evident in his more than 20 years of expertise, and in the way, he has developed partnerships with key players in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

Godwin has also shown his expertise through the Music Business Academy for Africa, an online learning platform devoted to educating the upcoming generation of music and entertainment professionals, where he has assisted in the development of future industry leaders over the past few years.
