A tanker explosion has claimed the lives of over 200 people as over fifty vehicles exploded along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway this evening. This event has gone down in history in Nigeria as one of the worse multi-vehicular accidents in over 18 years.
The Federal Road Safety Commission has released a press statement stating: “All motorists plying the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway are advised to take alternative routes due to the explosion of a tanker laden with PMS at the Otedola Bridge INW Berger.
At least 54 vehicles are reported to have been caught up in flames along with the tanker.” Our condolences are extended to the families of those effect by the crises and we implore our government to do more for their people. Numerous Lives have been lost this week.
