Ugandan Politician Bobi Wine Releases Song About Coronavirus Outbreak

Bobi Wine, the Ugandan musician and political activist released a song on Wednesday to help efforts of spreading news about the coronavirus outbreak in the east African nation.

Bobi Wine, real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, teamed up a fellow musician Nubian Li on the song, the aim he says is to highlight the importance of personal hygiene in the fight against the outbreak.

The bad news is that everyone is a potential victim. But the good news is that everyone is a potential solution. Sensitise the masses to sanitise. Keep a social distance and quarantine.

Wine, the member of parliament for Kyadondo East constituency, raps in the song.

According to Aljazeera, the country of 42 million people reported its first case on Sunday and has since imposed travel restrictions and banned public gatherings. Uganda has 14 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including an eight-month-old baby.
