Veen is going hard for PH City in his new single ‘City Drills’

Veen is one of the producers under the 44DB collective –– an umbrella of young, independent and delectable Nigerian producers. If you didn’t miss it, then you can recall the part where we described him as “a self-taught producer, audio engineer, artist and songwriter who is a one man army; producing, writing, performing and engineering every track in his catalogue.”

On his latest track City Drills, Veen is putting the spotlight on his city, not Las Gidi as usual but the oi- rich Port-harcourt. He sings the tale of a bustling city filled with so much talent, and sometimes overlooked or underrated. But here, Veen is making a statement, ‘If You Know My City, Niggas Don’t Play/Get To The Drill, Get To The Kill’, unabashedly repping PH City, while speaking for the rest of the boys and girls in the bando. Whether or relate, you can’t deny that this is a fresh breath of vim to Nigerian hip hop.
