Virgin Music and Starz Records Global have announced a major new Joint Venture that will deliver global distribution, marketing support, and long-term career development for the Label’s full catalog of recordings and associated audio-visual content.
Under the agreement, Virgin Music will serve as the exclusive worldwide distribution and commercial partner for all recordings owned, licensed, or controlled by Starz Records during the Term. The partnership immediately brings the music of the Label’s flagship artists: Dovelyn, Mayzee, Salle & She, to audiences across every territory on the planet.
Key highlights of the Joint Venture include:
• Worldwide territory with full distribution and commercial services
• Minimum three-year term, commencing on the first release under the new partnership, with built-in provisions for continued support
• Comprehensive marketing services, sync & brand partnerships, and public performance administration, secondary exploitation, and ancillary revenue opportunities
• Full label approval rights retained on sync, brand, ancillary, and remix activities
The deal also provides dedicated support for physical and digital manufacturing, artwork, label copy, and promotional materials, ensuring Starz Records maintains creative control while benefiting from Virgin Music’s global infrastructure and expertise.
