Earlier this week, our favorite British Royals Harry and Meghan visited Morocco at the request of Queen Elizabeth II – who last visited the region in 1980.
A spokesperson said the visit “will build on the close relationship between the U.K. and Morocco, further saying “The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to the visit which will highlight the vital roles that girls’ education and youth empowerment are playing in, and shaping, modern Morocco.”
After arriving the couple’s engagements will kick off in earnest on Sunday, February 24th with visit a Education for All, a boarding house in Asni that serves girls from rural communities.
Harry and Meghan will speak to the children and teachers at the organization, and Meghan will take part in a henna ceremony; that is supposed to bring good luck to her first born later in the day.
Harry will award Michael McHugo, Education for All’s founder, with an MBE [Member British Empire].
Harry and Meghan are also set to stop by Lycee Qualifiant Grand Atlas, before attending an official reception at the British.
