Big Cabal Media –– one of Nigeria’s leading digital media estates and publishers of TechCabal and Zikoko have just announced new investments from an onboarding of Platform Capital, a principal advisory and investment firm with operations across 4 continents.
This new development also comes with the appointment of Dr. Akintoye Akindele, Chairman of Platform Capital to the company’s board, alongside media executive, Biola Alabi; Greentec Investment’s CIO, Tomi Davies and Big Cabal Media founder, Bankole Oluwafemi.
Tomiwa Aladekomo, CEO of Big Cabal Media said in an official statement from the company “We’re excited to have Platform Capital onboard as an investor and partner. Big Cabal has established its ability to build and sustain strong media brands and to deliver high-impact innovative content and products. With Platform Capital as a partner, we intend to drive accelerated audience growth and reach, while deepening our investments in technology and product development.”
Big Cabal’s announcement comes a few months after Stears Business, another data-driven Nigeria publisher raised a $600,000 seed round with participation from Luminate and undisclosed Nigerian investors. There is no news out at the moment regarding how much Big Cabal has raised or any major changes to be expected yet.
