Every year since 2010, the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme, a subsidiary of the Tony Elumelu Foundation –  an African private-sector-led philanthropy focused on empowering native entrepreneurs is on a mission to impact thousands of young, budding entrepreneurs. The programme is a the $100million commitment by the Elumelu family to empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs over a 10-year period, create 1million jobs and also contribute over $10billion in revenue to the African economy by 2024. Since it’s launch, the foundation has been active in 54 African countries and impacted 7,531 entrepreneurs. Recently, 2100 entrepreneurs graduated from the inaugural TEF-UNDP Entrepreneurship Programme, a partnership between the Tony Elumelu Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to empower 100,000 entrepreneurs over 10 years across Africa. 

Applications are now open for the 2020 cohort edition, with successful applicants to receive 12 weeks of intensive online training, access to a world-class mentor, and US$5,000 in seed capital to prove the concept, including access to further funding.
