Last year saw Victony debut into the music scene. Starting out as a rapper, showing his skills and dexterity on Ladipoe’s Revival Mode. His journey continued and saw the release of his six tracks EP Saturn where he took on the trap singsong style currently shaping hip hop.

Fresh off the release of his debut project, Victony has been up to a lot, carving a niche for himself in Afrobeat’s ever-expanding terrain. Recently he’s been thrilling his fans with short snippets on his social media pages of songs he believes would be a great match for him and some of Afrobeat’s biggest superstars from Wizkid to Burna Boy, as he finds a way to balance their more mainstream sound and style with his.

Starting the new music weekend early, Victony drops his first official single of the year. Eerily instrumentation created by cloudy piano chords along with Victony’s trap singsong style of Afrobeats creates a haunting melancholy heartbreak experience as Victony sings to his lover of being broken, overdosing, and left in the open despite how consuming his love is for her.
