#BestNewMusic: Nonso Amadi returns with new music, Asa shines on her new album + WurlD, Reminisce, Darkoo, Olamide, SuperJazzClub & more.

Before Omah Lay, Fireboy and the likes took the world by storm with they rhythmic blend of Afro-sounds with RnB elements that gave Afrobeat a more soothing blend to the ears, we had Nonso Amadi, the first real breakout star for the New Age – he had us all hooked with his single ‘Tonight’ as well as many other songs right after. It was a shock to everyone when he decided to take a hiatus from music at his peak. That’s all in the past now as he returns to the scene with a brand new single ‘Foreigner’.

Olamide and Wande coal link up to serve us what we think will be one of the ‘songs of the year’ with the two veterans giving stealer performances and proving to us why they’ve both been around for over a decade. Reminisce also releases a new single with the help of British rapper D-Smoke who you might remember from Fireboy’s hit tune ‘Champion’ and Buju. Asa releases her fifth studio album title ‘V’ and on the stand out track ‘IDG’ she shines beautifully with Starboy himself ‘Wizkid’ – yes, it’s the collaboration we’ve all been waiting for and they didn’t dissapoint.

Other notable releases this week include songs from T.I Blaze, Jola Bello, SuperJazzClub, Zubi, Darkoo & Black Sherif, Sigag Lauren & Jamie Black, Sosa-E and Amerado

Friday has become the de-facto release day in the music industry, a plethora of tracks vie to become the soundtrack of that weekend and beyond. Sifting through it all every Friday morning can be overwhelming for many listeners, so every week we compile some highlights.
