Last night in Hurghada, Egypt, the Confederation of African Football crowned the Kings and Queens of football on the continent with Liverpool-Senegal star: Sadio Mane and Nigeria-Barcelona forward: Asisat Oshoala emerging African Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year after an outstanding calendar year. The ceremony capped off what was an eventful couple of days in Egypt as several FIFA Legends flew in to join Africa in its celebration of another wonderful year of football.
Last night’s big moment was when Asisat was announced the African Women’s player of the year, making her the second woman to win the prize for a record fourth time after edging Ajara Nchout and Thembi Kgatlana.
