Dj Dhara recruits Idowest on new catchy bop, Quarantine.

Dhara is one of the very few female DJs in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape defying industry barriers and narratives that work against women. The 22 year-old who has been actively turning tables for 6 years and she has decided to take her artistic prowess a step further with her foray into music making.

Dj Dhara enlists Davido Music Worldwide signee Idowest, who is well known for his ‘shaku-shaku’ style on her debut track, Quarantine. The song produced by BadBoyMajik is more of a sensitisation jingle than it is a street hop banger. At a time when the whole world is dealing with a deadly pandemic and the need to social distance, Idowest creatively eats up the beat flow with rhyming keywords, funkily dishing out the history of coronavirus and it’s precautionary measures. You may be on the fourth repeat before you finally click that he trying to social distance himself from a lady who’s trying to get down with him.

QUARANTINE is available on all streaming platforms worldwide.
