Since Buju was seen with Burna Boy in his Lagos home last December, there have been industry-wide speculations about the African giant’s interest in signing new and promising talents to his music collective, Spaceship Entertainments. From kickstarting his music career as a twitter sensation and delivering hits-after-hits within relatively short time frame, Buju has broken into the corridors of the mainstream, setting up a new standard for upcoming artists in the local scene.
L’enu, one of his biggest and grooviest tunes yet got a remix with the signature of his new boss, Burnaboy and it is no doubt a certified banger and most likely Buju’s ticket to the grand table. In an interview with OkayAfrica, Buju disclosed that the African giant is one of his biggest musical influences and one of the most diverse artists he’s ever worked with or listened to.
The track’s accompanying video, directed by T.G Omori is a dub of Wizkid’s game changer video ‘Holla at your boy‘. Buju plays the role of a hip and cool college student surrounded by classmates who enjoy his sound. Burna later pulls up at the spot to pick Buju for a drive, a signal of their newly formed relationship and artistic journey.
