#InMyFeelings Dance Videos Are the best things on the internet of summer

/

Yesterday, Drake’s “Scorpion” album set a record by posting seven simultaneous singles on Billboards Top 10 that overturned The Beatles record of five singles set in 1964. His record label Republic Records announced this week that “Scorpion,” Drake’s fifth album, has crossed the one billion mark in total streams – a first for an album in its first week. But this isn’t the only fascinating thing about the 25 track body of work from Aubrey.

Drake is easily one of the most memeable musicians out there, and his latest album Scorpion has already provided plenty of timeline fodder. One of the project’s highlights is undoubtedly “In My Feelings” – its Atlanta sample and Instagram bio-worthy lines have already inspired plenty of memes, and most recently, a viral dance challenge – Highsnobiety

On June 29, the day Drake’s 25-track double album Scorpion was released, comedian and Instagram user @theshiggyshow posted a video of his dance moves to “In My Feelings”, an ode to the rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Keshia Chante, that samples vocals from the Miami group City Girls. This is how the #InMyFeelingsChallenge was birthed, and it’s been disrupting the timelines and stories, no lies you can’t help but try your steps….Drake did it again! So the rest of the internet was quick to follow. The hashtag #InMyFeelings on Instagram has over 380,000 posts attached to it and counting. Pan-African twitter what’s up?

Like its predecessors, the “mannequin challenge” and the “running man challenge,” the “In My Feelings challenge” has also become a hit with celebs, garnering videos from the likes of Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson, Odell Beckham Jr., Lala Anthony, Kevin Hart, and more – TIME
