Summer’s biggest rookie – Kare is ready and ‘Shake it for me’ explains it all

You know a true love song even before it starts. At first glance, Fola Bakare is the hard guy who’s got the trick to brighten a room and get the closest girl smiling; all these illusions until you come to the understanding of his fluently sensational lyrics, then you realize he’s no such guy. He’s lustful and still reflects the lovey-dovey type like he’s had a crush on this girl since grade 6 and he isn’t even ready to let go.

A complete rookie he admits, he is confident about taking on his love for music and also grow organically and skilfully over the next few years. With just one single under his name, he’s undoubtedly bought himself a place in Lagos’ new generation music movement after his raving performance at the Lemon Curd Festival, and other notable events in Lagos this August.

‘Shake It For Me’ is kare’s debut music as he kickstarts his indie journey into the blockbuster industry, if there’s one thing to pin down, it’s the explorative vocal power of the singer, a real connection between the beats and his words which proves that his intentions are pure. Somebody tell Nonso Amadi a new kid is on the block.
