Thursday, 5th of March to Sunday, 8th of March, officially marks the Lagos Gallery Weekend. Created to foster a spirit of arts and culture in Lagos, prominent art galleries, art foundations, and art spaces will be hosting events.
If you have been wondering how to get into the art and literary space in Lagos, you can start this weekend with this list of event recommendations below.
- In My Care exhibition hosted by ODA Art Gallery, Victoria Island. This is opening on Saturday, 7th March 2026, and is an exhibition of Obida Obioha’s art collection.

- She Energy II exhibition hosted at Alliance Francaise, Ikoyi. A group exhibition of women-centered art, it opens on Saturday, 7th March and runs till 4th of April.

- The Art of Cinema, a film screening at Angels and Muse. Happening on Saturday, 7th March at Angels and Muse, Ikoyi, films by Dika Ofoma and Kufreabasi Eyo will be screened.

- Ile Adua, an art exhibition happening at Nomadic Art Gallery. Opening on Friday, the 6th of March, this exhibition features Paul Ayihawu’s works on spirituality.

- +234 Art Fair, organised by Soto Gallery, EcoBank Nigeria and Plus 234 Fair. This is running from 5th March to 8th March and involves art exhibitions, poetry performances, and other related events.

- A Language of Motion, a photography exhibition by Jolaoso Adebayo. Hosted by MILIKI, the exhibition opens on Friday, 6th March and runs to 12th March.

- From Us To Us, a participatory performance by Tolulope Ami-Willims, done in partnership with The Goethe Institute. This is showing at CCA Lagos, Yaba, on the 7th of March.
