DJ Java your favorite and main DJ at Lagos’ monthly culture celebration ‘Afropolitan Vibes‘ and isn’t holding back his delivery of hit after hit, with the latest track ‘Sneak‘ featuring rapper Poe & Kittan.
‘Sneak‘, which is the title of Java’s new experimental take fusing house music with Gidi Grove, as the tempo and hook by Kiitan gives a calm wave for you to get naughty with.
Talking about the song,
“I always wanted to create something special, a different vibe, something in the tropical house region. Sneak is a very special and different tune and what makes it more special is the fact that i actually featured a rapper LADIPOE and took him to a whole different sound and got Kiitan to add a seductive appeal to it. Sneak is a really special vibe and i hope everyone will love it.”
The DJ culture is growing in Africa, there’s a need to push the boundaries of what’s being played and created.
‘Sneak’ is a lovely example of this,
“To be honest, the DJ culture in Africa is growing and getting the exposure it deserves. We are now creating our own sounds and sharing with the world which is a really big movement and i am happy to be a part of it. I love House Music, I love the peaceful and calm feeling it gives me whenever i listen to it. Most of the time it depends on how i am feeling at the moment.”
As more DJs intertwine their production habits, the audience get more flavour in their sound.
Being a DJ and a music producer, my core sound is house music. I always try to create a different and unique house music sound that will have a touch of almost all genres and still stand out.
