Our Best Ghanian Songs Of The First Quarter

The Ghanaian music industry has grown a lot bigger since the years of popular dance Azonto and rap legend Sakordie. The success of that era has given rise to many more Ghanaian styles and music stars taking the sound and culture to a wider audience.

Gone are the years when the popularity of Nigerian stars dwarfed their West-African neighbours. Ghana has expanded it’s music scene and created more structure and platforms allowing the rise of new internet stars who’re reinventing the industry while paying respect to those that helped them pave the way. It’s an era that’s putting the country on the map as an independent voice capable of impacting its own African trends and sound.

The popularity of the country on Africa’s persona as the ‘next cool continent to visit‘ was proven last year, Accra was bombarded with different stars making sure they didn’t miss out on popular events like Chale Wote.

It’s been an amazing year in music for Ghana with the release of so much music to keep everyone busy reshuffling and adding new songs to their favourite playlist. In collbration with Ghanaian music platform CulArtBlog we’ve compiled a list of ten top ghanian songs of the first quarter, enjoy.
