Sauti Sol signs with Universal Music Africa.

Jan 30 (Nairobi) – We can now confirm to you that Kenyan Afro-pop band Sauti Sol have concluded an exclusive recording agreement with Universal Music Africa, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG). In a statement released by the label, the deal is expected to give the band access to UMG”s global network and an opportunity for their music to reach a wider audience, whilst continuing to satisfy their dedicated fanbase and a new generation of fans throughout Africa.

Sauti Sol is comprised of vocalists Been-Aimé Baraza, Wills Chimano, Savara Mudigi and guitarist, Polycarp and in 2016, theymade history as the first Kenyan artistes to hold a successful countrywide tour. The “Live and Die in Africa” tour covered five cities and towns in Kenya and has now been expanded into Africa and beyond for the rest of the year.
