#UndergroundShuffle: Layzee Ella, Musta4a, Dr Karmma, Lanray, Tonee C & more are this week’s additions

The editors at More Branches update #UndergroundShuffle every week to help you sift through the many amazing underground musical talents from across Africa releasing good enough music to populate your playlists.

Layzee Ella unveils her Teddywestside-produced “Body On Me” is her year opener, following a 2021 that put her on the map. Musta4a’s mild pop and R&B infused “Unconditional” carries love on each tail end, and takes shape as a profound emotional exploration.

Dr Karmma’s melodic sung-rap “Lock Up” does well to paint a picture of his mind state regarding his art and himself. Lanray’s “Unqualified” is an introspective pop infused rap song that toes the line between western and African as Lanray speaks on a love he describes as undeserving. RnB Princess’s vocal input added a beautiful factor to the song.

Tonee C’s “Bleu Nirvana” featuring Dowzy is a string lead and a sensual record accompanied with rap and pop sonic collectives. It is personal and is being cocktailed in the rapper’s experiences, with his art, his lover and more.

Other notable releases this week include songs from Kobi Wolf, Reezy, Rindss & Beezyx, Bolaryn and more.
