Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter, Victony has released a new version of his hit single “Soweto (with Don Toliver, Rema & Tempoe)”. In this infectious track, the three power houses come together to confess their love to their leading lady.
On teaming up with Don Toliver and Rema, Victony shared,
“Soweto is such a special track for me so it was very exciting to team up with Don Toliver and Rema for the remix. I can’t wait for all my fans to hear the new track!”
The original “Soweto” track is a beautiful collaboration between Victony and multi-platinum, diamond certified producer Tempoe (who has also worked with CKay, Omah Lay and Jason Derulo), which has amassed over 110 million streams to date. Victony also released a stunning music video for the track in October 2022, directed by Jyde Ajala, which has gained over 35 million views. “Soweto” is featured on his EP titled Outlaw, and was included on Rolling Stone’s top Afropop songs of 2022 list. On TikTok, the song has over 1 million streams and over 1 billion views across all videos.
