Suede returns with his third single, titled ‘Weekend‘ and it’s here just in time as we envision many memorable weekends ahead of us right now to climax in December.
Weekend, produced by Audio Engineer, Producer and [rapper] Bond, Suede tells a tale of planning a clandestine rendezvous with a partner outside the confines of private university. [because most private schools have such strict rules which cage students].

Bond does justice to the beat giving a rhythm that allows Suede glide his conspicuous vocals on a groovy Afro-Caribbean layered tempo, you can feel the chemistry between Bond and Suede who are both in the same independent music company, Euphonic. This definitely has us singing ‘cheers to the weekend’.
On creating the song, Suede had this to say :
The concept of ‘Weekend’ came to me naturally when Bond sent me the beat, [S/O to Bond] I recorded it and sent it back to him in an hour. I was the type to always leave school on the weekend with the boys just to escape from stress and school life.
Leaving school with your girl even if it was just for the weekend was always a vibe.
I guess that’s what the song is about, weekend vibes, nightlife, getting wasted, waking up high with a peng ting on a Saturday morning & basically doing whatever you like knowing that by monday you have to be back in school or at work.
