#BestNewMusic: Wizkid unveils his most anticipated album yet, Mavins unite, Larry Gaaga enlists Black Sherif & Marvio Music + more

Friday has become the de-facto release day in the music industry, and a plethora of tracks vie to become the soundtrack of that weekend and beyond. Sifting through it all every Friday morning can be overwhelming for many listeners, so every week we compile some highlights.

Wizkid — “More Love Less Ego”

Wizkid’s return with another full-length album is chilly. With several expansive tracks that are relaxing and romance choked. He explores various sounds and the album’s diversity is intact. MLLE has a few assists from stars like Ayra Starr, Skillibeng & Shenseea, Don Toliver, and a track housing the most controversial Nigerian street singer and rapper Naira Marley with the UK-based rap legend Skepta. More Love Less Ego,” is a deeper dive into sex, love, fandom and so much more than his previous album Made In Lagos. Wizkid, always has the perfect story about every woman.

Maleek Berry — “My Way”

As for Maleek Berry, he buckles his sandals up and is ready to take on the trail of his musical journey destination to chronicle hits upon hits. His album is in the pipeline as he unlocks a new and fresher offering tagged “My Way.” While he talks like one who’s next to his lover, requesting that she comes his way; he sings with so many genuine intentions. Who knows whether they are good or not?

Larry Gaaga feat Black Sherif & Marvio Music— “Letters From Overseas”

Larry Gaaga often understands the records that are gold-plated. Practically, his in-depth knowledge of sounds and how to put together the perfect artiste to jump on it gives him the solution to every hit. He enlists Ghana’s hot Black Sheriff and the Naija fast-rising Marvio Music to capitalize on a new and powerful drop titled — “Letter From Overseas.”

Mavin — “Won Da Mo”

No doubt the Mavin crew has one of the most potent arsenals ranging from young and raving artists and the older establishing guns, who have been staking the claims repeatedly within the soundscape. Their new effort led by Rema dubbed “Won Dah Mo,” and was exquisitely closed by Johnny Drille, the appealing “Friend” crooner. Every other act’s verses on the Andre Vibez-produced track all stood out as well.

Other notable releases this week include songs from The Cavemen, Vector, Ugoccie feat. Niniola, Timaya, Khaid feat. Zlatan Ibile & Rexxie, Tiwa Savage feat. Asake and more.
