Martell On The Move: The Swift Ascendant and The Martell Voyager Transform Lagos Nights with Audacious Energy

//

After the unveil comes the movement. Following the grand debut of The Swift Ascendant, Martell’s monumental 14-foot sculpture by acclaimed artist Dotun Popoola, the world’s number one international prestige cognac brand extended its audacious story from sculpture to sound, lighting up Lagos nightlife with the ‘Experience the Wings of Audacity’ series.

At The Wings in Victoria Island, guests witnessed the reveal of both The Swift Ascendant and The Martell Voyager, marking the beginning of Martell’s bold cultural takeover across Lagos.

Each venue transformed into a sensory expression of Martell’s movement, dynamic lighting inspired by The Swift Ascendant, curated soundscapes, and bespoke cocktails, bringing the brand’s audacious spirit to life. Lagos nightlife became a living canvas of art, rhythm, and reinvention.

As The Swift Ascendant sets off on its artistic journey across Nigeria, audiences are encouraged to spot the installation and share their sightings online as it continues along its bold path through cities yet to be revealed, building anticipation for each new chapter of Martell’s nationwide movement.

Adding to the energy, the Martell Voyager continues to make waves across Lagos waters. Embarking on a 30-day journey across Lagos, the  Martell Voyager has successfully docked at Lulu and Mako, which started from 22nd November and will continue sailing through Kingfisher, Terra Foam, Lulu, Mako, and Lagos Motor Boat Club with the 30-day journey across Lagos until 31st December 2025, offering Lagosians new opportunities to experience Martell On The Move on water.

From the soaring presence of The Swift Ascendant to the nighttime energy of The Martell Voyager, Martell reimagines after-dark culture as a space for refined celebration and bold creative expression.

Evane Chenuet, Marketing Director, Pernod Ricard Nigeria, shared: “Following the unveil, we wanted Lagosians to not only witness Martell’s audacious spirit but to embody it, but to experience the brand’s character through art, craftsmanship, and culture. As Créateurs de convivialité, we transform nightlife into a refined expression of creativity and connection, showing that Martell continues to move with purpose, bold, original, and always in motion.”

Nkaepe Ette, Brand Activation Manager, Martell Nigeria, added: “Every Martell experience is designed to move people, literally and emotionally. As The Swift Ascendant travels across Nigeria, we’re bringing that same energy into Lagos nightlife. Each stop, from Lulu, Kingfisher, Terraform, and Lagos Motor Boat Club, feels like a transformation, the night reimagined through audacity.”

Enakeno Umuteme, Head, Media & Digital, Pernod Ricard Nigeria, emphasized the digital dimension of the campaign: “Martell On The Move transforms every moment into a cultural experience, extending The Swift Ascendant and The Martell Voyager beyond their physical presence through digital storytelling. With the #MartellOnTheMove campaign and the “Spot & Share” discovery challenge, we’re blending online buzz with real-world participation, inviting the community to capture, share, and celebrate each sighting. By connecting art, nightlife, and interactive engagement across cities, we are creating a movement that honors heritage, sparks creativity, and turns every experience into a shared expression of audacity.”

From land to sea, from art to after-dark, Martell On The Move continues to define Lagos’ cultural and entertainment scene, a celebration of those who dare to look higher, think deeper, and live audaciously.
