Seven Art Directors We Can’t Get Enough Of!

Art direction, what does it mean to a brand? An idea? A creative scene? Art is the storyboard to everyone’s life and soul, it takes an entire generation and makes it visible. Each continent has its masters and in a digital age where everything is interpreted in more drastic ways and forms, Africa is becoming a leading factor in how we perceive art especially in the digital space. A few years in and the kids have clung to Adobe as their way of reaching out to the Picasso’s they deserve to be. It started off as a bunch of kids playing with the new systems coming to them, they needed to explore without a purpose. Then they probably called them the weirdos cause the internet wasn’t aware of their uniqueness, we also didn’t know what is meant to us.

I’m a big fan of Art from our generation, it’s anything, freeform and digital. Unlike the artistic stories of the older generation, ours can be said to be quicker for the eye to consume as you pass it by on your screen, it’s exploding in every form as a way of representation. The internet is a giant sphere of free thinkers all striving to hit a bigger audience and the art directors are living up to the task.

We list seven art directors with different styles and execution, all talking with nothing but their art. With different projects, they touch on a bit of themselves.
