The Winners and Losers at Brit Awards 2020.

The 40th Brit Awards were presented Tuesday at the O2 Arena in London. The night was hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall with performances from Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi and Lizzo. Lewis Capaldi was the main man to watch, as he was up for four awards, including best male and best single. His main competition, in both the fashion and music prize stakes, Dave, whose debut album Psychodrama won last year’s Mercury Prize. However, the Brits have been criticised for a lack of diversity this year, with only four women nominated across the four categories open to both male and female artists – best group, best new artist, best song and album of the year. Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy was also nominated for Best International Male artist alongside Americans, Bruce Springsteen, Dermot Kennedy, Tyler The Creator and Post Malone but he lost to Tyler.
