I’ll like to start by saying Amaarae just dropped probably the hardest [used in a positive context] video this year for ‘Fluid’ and she’s not even started to show what she fully has in store. Since she entered the scene, she’s been a calculated and extremely talented force to reckon with.
Music is an artform of sounds and with the impact of modern technology the entire package is more intense and content driven, from the production to lyrics, videos, images, social media, it’s all part of music and every artist around the world, artist here in Africa also with the connectivity of the internet have been given the freedom to provide this all to their fans in the most creative form they can think of, Ama Serwah Genfi understands this so well. Amaarae, as she’s known, has been consistent in transforming every layer of her music into beautiful scenes for the world to appreciate as her voice caresses our lives, she appreciates the idea of creating music in a new age and her team has never failed to deliver.

Amaarae has been on the underground music scene since she was 17 and has produced several demos including rap, hip-hop, and R&B. Now 23, she’s grown into an incredible singer, songwriter, producer and she’s currently Apple Music Africa’s “Favorite New Artist for the Month”.
A few months into the release of her highly acclaimed debut project ‘Passionfruit Summers‘, Amaarae graces our eyes with a music video for the enchanting tune ‘Fluid‘ and it’s everything you imagined. Shot in on location, the video placed Amaarae as the center of attraction giving us an up-close and flowy view as she sang through different palettes, covered in flowers, it was really beautiful. The video is the definition of minimal, an aesthetic Amaarae has kept on improving, taking little details and expanding them into rays of sunshine.
