2018 was such a big year for African music, Nigerian music predominantly. It’s that time of the year again, SoundCity hosted the third edition of its annual music awards on Saturday Janaury 5, 2018 which is reported to have been viewed by over 50 million people. As expected, Burna Boy was the star of the night bagging four awards including the highly coveted “Africa Artist of the Year” while Davido and Wizkid got one award each. Teni Entertainer did shine too! and South Africa’s Busiswa clinched the Best Female MVP against Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Simi, Niniola and Yemi Alade. AKAworldwide, Teni, Niniola and Victor AD delivered great performances at the show.
