VOICES OF MUSIC: Prettyboy D-O’s Chop Elbow

/

if to say new year never pass, this na the kind gbedu way we suppose dance comot church, enemies chop elbow!

If you’ve seen Prettyboy D-O do a live thing, then you can be sure about what energy, charisma and a mix of pink fantasy can produce. Obviously, man may get big on creating solo anthems that become raves across metropolitan Lagos and beyond. Not enough recovery from his biggest work so far; Footwork, D-O is back – this time as an actiivist and a painter of the canvas of what it means to be youthful in Nigeria. From traffic wahala to police harassment, nightlife and tollgate fees, standards of living, high tariffs and every other thing that happens in a place controlled by a corrupt government  where snakes and monkeys have learnt the art of theft. Its clear this time that D-O is sending a message, and for someone who is on the verge of building a cult followership, it’s only right to spread this kind of contagious consciousness. D-O is hoping to start a trend of being outspoken and socially aware, especially when the 2019 general elections are in view. As we await his debut EP ‘Everything pretty’, footwork and Chop Elbow definitely says a lot about what to expect from the loverman. The song was produced by July Drama, Tomi Thomas & BBanks.
